INTERNATIONAL ENERGY AGENCY – EFFICIENT DEMAND FLEXIBLE NETWORKED APPLIANCES PLATFORM

The Effcient Demand Flexible Networked Appliances Platform – EDNA  is an international collaboration established in 2014 under the umbrella of the Energy Efficient End-Use Equipment (4E) Technology Collaboration Program of the International Energy Agency.

EDNA provides technical analysis and policy guidance in three areas: wasted energy, digitalization and networks energy use. EDNA follows a collaborative approach and is focusing on monitoring, measuring and reporting the energy consumed by network connected devices and their associated networks, to help the alignment of policies to minimize energy consumption. EDNA results contribute to market surveillance and policy alignment, and facilitate the consensus development of test methods, efficiency metrics, product categories, efficiency levels, standards and communication protocols.
