ECODESIGN presented at the Final CO2Fokus Conference!

The EU H2020 Project CO2Fokus organized its final conference in Izmir (Turkey) on December 06, 2023 to showcase and discuss with international and local stakeholders the results of the unique process to directly convert Carbon Dioxide from point sources to Dimethyl Ether (DME).

As CO2Fokus comes to its end, the partners work on the final validation of the pilot plant. ECODESIGN presented selected results of the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), completed for the overall process at TRL6. These results give insights into the environmental aspects and impacts, and highlight process parameters and scenarios to improve when scaling up the technology.

ECODESIGN also presented the results of the Social acceptance study carried out, which in general, showed positive attitudes of the surveyed pool of 500 respondents towards the concept of this project. The Social acceptance study identified perceived risks to be considered for further communication and exploitation activities. (Photo SOCAR AR-GE, 2023)
